A Little Behind the Scenes Buzz šŸ

A Little Behind the Scenes Buzz šŸ

Well… life at The Busy Bee has definitely been busy lately!

I have every intention of keeping up with regular blog posts, but sometimes the behind-the-scenes work takes over—and that has definitely been the case these past couple of weeks.

On May 1st, I received unexpected news that my longtime vendor for our 3D door hanger signs would be discontinuing sales effective immediately. If you’ve been to a workshop or browsed our projects, you know these signs are a huge part of what we do here. So naturally, panic mode kicked in for a minute!

Since then, I’ve been scrambling to research, compare, and test new vendors. The good news? I’ve already found a few promising options. The bad news? That also means I now have to completely rebuild and reorganize the project catalog—which is going to take some time.

I’ve started placing sample orders so I can compare quality, sizing, and materials before I commit to offering them in the studio. One thing that’s really important to me is making sure the projects you create at The Busy Bee are high quality and worth your time and money.

One unexpected blessing in all of this has been connecting with some local makers and small businesses. I’m hopeful that these conversations may grow into partnerships that allow us to offer even more unique and customized signs in the future. Supporting local and building community has always been important to me, so I’m excited to see where those relationships may lead.

In happier news—the Paint & Sip event went really well! It was such a fun night filled with creativity, laughter, and good company. Seeing people relax, paint, and enjoy themselves reminds me exactly why I wanted to open this studio in the first place.

And opening day? Wow.

I was honestly overwhelmed (in the best way) by the number of people who stopped in to visit, explore the studio, and support this dream. Every kind word, share, hug, purchase, and conversation meant so much to me.

My only complaint?

You all didn’t eat enough cookies. šŸŖ

Thank you for continuing to support this little dream of mine while I figure things out one project, one paintbrush, and one catalog update at a time. I truly appreciate every single one of you.

Stay tuned… there are lots of fun things still to come.
